Thank you for the article and the chance to see Mr Darcy again.Beth Elliotthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04291800895744785318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8954683999390981517.post-68304502895981973292011-05-18T22:15:21.637+02:002011-05-18T22:15:21.637+02:00I'm with everyone else, he's not depressed...I'm with everyone else, he's not depressed. I never thought of Darcy as depressed, but I suppose he would have been somewhat lonely, rambling around in that huge estate with only a little sister to keep him company. I can agree with the male commentators about him prefering a lively companion like Lizzy. His best friend was very jovial. I suppose he did need some cheering up.Phylly3https://www.blogger.com/profile/10551254554577516351noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8954683999390981517.post-18469764097467233252011-05-18T03:05:14.383+02:002011-05-18T03:05:14.383+02:00I think we are all thinking the same thing. Repressed is more like it methinks.

I do love all these men reading Jane Austen, although as usual the men are reading from Mars and the women from Venus. It's amazing we get together at all!

Thanks Maria Grazia, for posting this wonderful clip that is sooooooo British. Stiff upper lip and all that! And the clips are always yummy. Interesting to see all the modern Darcys too. Some of them look really snooty and possibly quite unpleasant and full of themselves. Sounds familiar....Jenny Allworthyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08518779478842699970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8954683999390981517.post-58017841934676908482011-05-18T00:37:02.806+02:002011-05-18T00:37:02.806+02:00I agree with mbreakfield.
