Greetings Lovely Janeites and thank you so much Maria Grazia for inviting me to post in your amazing blog.

My first encounter
with Jane Austen was when I read Pride and Prejudice in high school. It wasn’t until years later when I saw the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice that I developed a passion for her novels. At the risk of sounding a bit shallow, Colin Firth’s portrayal of Mr. Darcy may have had a hand in rekindling my interest! Or, was it Captain Wentworth’s proposal letter to Anne Elliot at the end of Persuasion that sealed the deal? Whatever the reason, I began reading her books, and following film adaptations of her novels and one day I realized I wanted more. I wanted to create
something visual and more tangible from this experience. I am an artist and a graphic designer and I decided to use my skills to create digital illustrations based on Jane Austen characters. My illustrations are silhouettes influenced by Austen characters depicted in film, however, I wanted to convey more about the time period in my work so details of clothing are reversed in each piece. Quotes are included with the characters. Some were quotes I loved from the very beginning, but I find myself going back to her books looking for pieces of conversation I may have missed. I have even had people email me at my shop 10 Camelia Way to include their favorite quotes in my pieces.

This process has really led me to see that Jane Austen was a woman who stepped out of the box and out of her "place". She brought focus to the social flaws of her time period and even poked fun at it – lets give a nod to dear Mr. Collins. She dared to write about strong female heroines who were confrontational and brave. They weren’t afraid to give the knight in shining armour a good tongue lashing. Bravo Elizabeth Bennet! Bravo Jane Austen!

From the moment I conceptualized the idea of how I wanted to interpret Jane's novels into imagery, I envisioned people with my artwork in their homes enjoying these characters as they had their cup of coffee or tea. As my work has evolved they can enjoy Jane in other areas as well, like adding an Austen-inspired necklace to an outfit, sending a friend a lovely Pemberley note card or using a Jane Austen bookmark as a placeholder.

I would love to giveaway this experience to 2 lucky readers. Since summer is on its way I thought a Mr. Darcy necklace

and an Elizabeth Bennet necklace

would be in order. Enter the worldwide giveaway by using the form below my post and, remember, the deadline is March 30th.

I think you made a mistake with the love letter from Captain Wentworth in Persuasion. It is to Anne Elliot and not Jane Elliot.

I don't pay much attention to Austen-inspired gifts because books are my passion. But lately I love seeing the different gifts that are designed with Jane Austen and her novels in mind. I would love to win one of the necklaces. Thanks for giving them away, Renee.

You've picked out some great quotes, but I must admit to chuckling at your selected quote for Mr Collins - "We seem to have been designed for each other." Heh-heh!

I agree with Renee, captain Wenworth's letter is one of the best parts of Persausion. It is when you know that everything is going to work out in the world of Anne Elliot.

How To Stop A Divorce And Save Your Marriage?(Dr.Brave).

Hello to every one out here, am here to share the unexpected miracle that happened to me three days ago, My name is Jeffrey Dowling,i live in TEXAS,USA.and I`m happily married to a lovely and caring wife, with two kids A very big problem occurred in my family seven months ago, between me and my wife so terrible that she took the case to court for a divorce she said that she never wanted to stay with me again, and that she did not love me anymore So she packed out of my house and made me and my children passed through severe pain. I tried all my possible means to get her back, after much begging, but all to no avail and she confirmed it that she has made her decision, and she never wanted to see me again. So on one evening,as i was coming back from work,i met an old friend of mine who asked of my wife So i explained every thing to her,so she told me that the only way i can get my wife back,is to visit a spell caster, because it has really worked for her too So i never believed in spell, but i had no other choice, than to follow her advice. Then she gave me the email address of the spell caster whom she visited.(}, So the next morning,i sent a mail to the address she gave to me,and the spell caster assured me that i will get my wife back the next day what an amazing statement!! I never believed,so he spoke with me,and told me everything that i need to do. Then the next morning, So surprisingly, my wife who did not call me for the past seven {7}months,gave me a call to inform me that she was coming back So Amazing!! So that was how she came back that same day, with lots of love and joy,and she apologized for her mistake, and for the pain she caused me and my children. Then from that day,our relationship was now stronger than how it were before,by the help of a spell caster . So, i will advice you out there to kindly email this wonderful man {},i f you are in any condition like this,or you have any problem related to "bringing your ex back. So thanks to Dr Brave for bringing back my wife, and brought great joy to my family once again.{}, Thanks..
