Best thing – it’s a good excuse to eat plenty
of wonderful food. Worst – the cold, dark days.
What is your favourite …
Christmas movie It’s a Wonderful Life
Christmas book A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
Christmas song Silent
Night
Christmas decoration? Christmas tree lights!
When and how
did you decide to write your novella Christmas with Mr Darcy?
I've always wanted to write a Christmas book and I was getting a lot of
e-mails from readers asking me what happened next to my characters in my Austen
Addicts Trilogy. I kept thinking about my characters too and thought it would
be good fun to unite them all at a special Christmas conference at Purley Hall.
I had so much fun writing it, imagining the snowy Hampshire landscape,
decorating the beautiful Georgian house and deciding what Christmas presents my
characters would give to one another. Oh, and thinking up some wonderful new
waistcoats for Higgins the butler to wear!
How would you present it to our readers?
Christmas with Mr Darcy is a fun and festive
novella about a group of Jane Austen addicts who get snowed in whilst attending
a conference deep in the heart of the Hampshire countryside. There are plenty
of Austenesque activities on offer but, when a rare first edition of Pride
and Prejudice goes missing, the guests have to forget the fun and games and
turn detective...
What did you like the best while writing it?

I really enjoyed seeing all of my characters
again and finding out what they got up to next. I've really grown to care for
them and – who knows – I might be tempted to write more about them in the
future!

Great interview, Victoria! My favorite Christmas book has always been 'Twas the Night Before Christmas!
I am so glad you have come to care for your characters and enjoy seeing what they will do next! I feel the same way about your Austen Addicts characters and hope we see more of them! :)

Things I love the most are family time. Especially the Children. Things that I miss the most are the people who used to be here to celebrate.
Christmas is my favorite time of year! I always seen to watch more Christmas movies than read Christmas books, and I'd like to rectify that this year. Wonderful interview!

I love spending time with family, making special holiday food, and shopping for thoughtful presents. I hate the stress around having a perfect holiday--it seems every year there's something else we're supposed to do/buy. So I like to take some time for myself with a cup of tea and a good book, to breathe and remember that my holiday may not be Martha Stewart's perfect holiday, but it's still pretty great.
I would like to alpha my own blog one day. This was a in adeptness nice blog that you artificial here. Accumulate up the success
